Privacy Policy — Amazing Lifestyle and Life Journey

Amazing Lifestyle operates amazing-lifestyle.com and the Life Journey mobile app and web features (together, the “Services”). This policy explains what personal information we use, why we use it, who helps us provide the Services, and your choices. For privacy requests, email info@amazinglifestyle.com.

Information we collect

• Account and profile:

  Your name, email address, profile image if supplied through Google sign-in, account identifier, sign-in and account preferences. We do not request access to your Google Drive, contacts or calendar simply because you sign in with Google.

• Content you choose to save:

  Journal entries, reflections, mood check-ins, goals, reminders, important days, progress, selected photos, and other information you enter into Life Journey; comments and saved articles on Amazing Lifestyle. Some of this content can reveal health, religious beliefs, relationships or other sensitive aspects of your life. You decide what to enter.

• Subscription information:

  The plan and entitlement status, purchase identifiers and transaction status needed to provide Premium access and help with support. Apple and Google handle the payment flow; we do not ask you to enter a card number into Life Journey.

• Website and app operation:

  Device and browser details, IP address, approximate location inferred from it, pages or features used, diagnostic information, cookies and similar identifiers where applicable. If you contact us or subscribe to a newsletter, we use the details and message you provide for that request. Some articles may contain affiliate links; a partner may receive information when you follow such a link and interact with its site.

• Usage, device and diagnostic information:

  We collect limited information needed to operate, secure and improve the Services. This can include device and browser details, operating system, app version, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, pages or features used, and technical diagnostic information.

  The Life Journey mobile app uses Firebase Analytics to understand general app use, such as app opens, screen views and feature interaction. We do not intentionally send journal entries, prayers, reflections, mood notes, photos or email-message content to Firebase Analytics.

  If you contact us, subscribe to a newsletter or complete a support request, we use the contact details and message you provide to respond to that request.

• Website cookies and similar technologies:

  The website may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies. Essential technologies help the website function, keep you signed in and remember preferences. Analytics, embedded-content and marketing technologies may use optional cookies. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies; you can change your choice through the available cookie-preference controls or your browser settings.

  Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you follow an affiliate link and interact with a partner's site, that partner may receive information according to its own privacy policy.

How we use information and our legal bases

We use personal information to:

• provide, maintain and secure the Services;

• create and manage accounts, save your entries and synchronise them across supported devices;

• show your history, charts, progress and reminders;

• provide Premium access and respond to subscription-support requests;

• respond to enquiries and support requests;

• understand and improve the reliability, performance and usability of the Services; and

• comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety and security of Amazing Lifestyle, users and others.

For UK GDPR purposes, we generally rely on performance of a contract to provide the account and Life Journey features you request; legitimate interests to operate, secure and improve the Services; legal obligations for required business and payment records; and consent for optional marketing and non-essential cookies where required.

Some content you choose to enter may be special-category personal data, for example information revealing health or religious beliefs. Where this occurs, we process it only to provide the private journaling and wellbeing features you ask us to provide, and only when an appropriate additional UK GDPR Article 9 condition applies. Where we rely on explicit consent, we will ask for it separately and make withdrawal available. Withdrawing consent may mean that we cannot continue to provide a feature that depends on that sensitive content.

Life Journey is not a medical service and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any health condition.

Who receives information

We use service providers that process information on our behalf to operate the Services. These include:

• Supabase, which provides authentication, database and storage services for accounts and Life Journey content;

• Qonversion, which helps connect Apple and Google Play purchases with Premium entitlements;

• Google, for Google sign-in and Firebase Analytics;

• Apple and Google Play, which process mobile-store purchases and manage subscriptions purchased through their stores;

• Hostinger, which helps host and deliver the website;

• Cookiebot, where enabled, which helps manage website cookie preferences; and

• Embedded-content providers, such as YouTube, when you choose to load their content.

We may also use providers for email delivery, support, security or diagnostics. We require providers to handle information only as needed to provide their services to us and in accordance with applicable law.

We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Amazing Lifestyle, our users or others. We do not sell personal information.

App permissions

Life Journey requests device permissions only when you choose a feature that needs them. Depending on the feature and your device, these may include:

• Photos / Photo Library: to select an image you choose to attach or share;

• Camera: to take an image for a feature you choose to use;

• Microphone: to record audio only if you choose an audio-recording feature;

• Face ID or Touch ID: to protect access to Life Journey on your device, where you enable that option; and

• Notifications: to send reminders and important-day alerts, where you allow them.

You can review or change app permissions at any time in your device settings.

Apple and Google Play handle mobile store purchases. Hostinger helps deliver the website; embedded video providers such as YouTube may process information when their content loads. Affiliate partners may learn that you followed a link when you visit their site. Other providers may be involved in email delivery, support, security or diagnostics. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect rights and safety. Each provider’s role, location and contract should be checked before publication.

Cookies and device permissions

Essential cookies or local storage may keep you signed in and remember settings. Website analytics, embedded content and marketing technologies may use optional cookies; choices should be presented before non-essential cookies are set where law requires. Browser controls can also limit cookies. The app may request notification and photo access for features you choose; you can change permissions in your device settings.

Storage, security and international transfers

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, to protect accounts and content. No online service is completely secure, so you should also protect your sign-in details and device.

Our providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use an applicable UK adequacy regulation or appropriate contractual and organisational safeguards for international transfers.

Retention and deletion

We keep account information and saved Life Journey content while your account remains active or until you delete the content or close your account. We retain technical logs, support communications and business records only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including security, dispute resolution and legal or accounting obligations. Backups are retained temporarily and removed through regular backup-rotation processes.

You may request deletion of your account and eligible associated content by contacting info@amazinglifestyle.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will remove or anonymise eligible information, subject to backup cycles, security needs, disputes and legal record-keeping obligations. Purchase and transaction records held by Apple or Google Play remain subject to the relevant store's own retention rules.

Your choices and rights

You can edit some account information and content in the Services, manage notifications in device settings, manage a subscription in Apple or Google Play, and request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information where the law applies. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time where consent is our basis; this does not affect earlier lawful processing. Contact info@amazinglifestyle.com with a request. We may need to verify your identity. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe we have mishandled your information.

Children and changes

The Services are not intended for children under 13. If we learn we have collected a child’s information contrary to applicable law, contact us so we can review and remove it. We may update this policy as features or providers change. We will post the new version and date here and provide additional notice where required.
